Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and Use
You must be at least 16 years old to use Loadouts. You may use Loadouts only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse or attempt to disrupt the Services.
2. Nature of Service
Loadouts is a PC build recommendation and customization tool. We generate suggested PC part lists based on budget and preferences, and we allow users to swap or customize parts using filters and recommendations. Performance scores, benchmarks, and estimated prices are provided for general guidance only and may not always be complete, accurate, or up to date.
3. Not Professional Advice
Loadouts is not a professional consulting service. Recommendations are suggestions only, provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee compatibility, performance, or fitness of any build or part. Users are solely responsible for verifying that parts meet their requirements before making purchases or assembling a PC.
4. Retailers and Purchases
Loadouts does not sell PC parts directly. We may provide links to third-party retailers (e.g., Amazon, Newegg). If you purchase through these links, you do so directly with the retailer. We are not responsible for transactions, pricing, shipping, returns, warranties, or customer service related to those purchases. Loadouts may participate in affiliate programs (including Amazon Associates) and may earn commission from qualifying purchases. This does not affect the price you pay.
5. Accuracy and Liability
While we make efforts to check compatibility (e.g., sockets, wattage, PCIe requirements), mistakes may occur. Loadouts does not warrant that any build will work without issue, or that parts will be available at the prices shown. By using Loadouts, you agree that you use the tool at your own risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: Loadouts and its creators are not liable for any damages, losses, or costs arising from use of the Services, including but not limited to: Incompatible or faulty hardware, Incorrect or outdated pricing, Loss of data, downtime, or financial loss. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with Loadouts is to stop using the Services.
7. Intellectual Property
Product names, brands, and trademarks (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) are the property of their respective owners and are used by Loadouts for reference purposes only. Loadouts is not affiliated with or endorsed by these third parties. All content on Loadouts (branding, design, code, recommendations, and data) is owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or resell our content without written permission.
8. Privacy and Cookies
Loadouts does not require logins, accounts, or direct submission of personal information. We use Google Analytics to collect limited usage data, but only if you consent through our cookie banner. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes must be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
